Augarten for fashionistas – Gössl’s new spring line
An exceptional cooperation between two long-standing Austrian companies displays a combination of two beautiful crafts, yet unseen
Last Thursday the grand facilities of Augarten castle turned into a catwalk, when Gössl, a renowned Austrian tailor of traditional costumes with a modern spin, presented its new spring collection, entirely based on decors by Augarten porcelain. Maria Oberfrank, Gössl designer and Vintage lover, explained how the cooperation came about: “It really started when I went through my cupboard at home and stumbled across a small saucer with a lovely ornament: OLD VIENNESE ROSE. I knew right away the Augarten decors would look great on the new spring-line. Also I’ve been eager to see how these beautiful decors were made for a long time.”
Both CEOs were convinced quickly and the cooperation did not only run smoothly, but climaxed in a fashion show in front of more than 250 people, excited to be among the first to see the beautiful result of the collaboration. The spring line will be in shops by April. In case you can’t wait to have more MARIA THERESIA, VIENNESE ROSE or BIEDERMEIER at home, browse our shops, online, in Vienna, Linz or Salzburg.
