Kissing of the Hand

The Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten was reopened in 1923 in what is now Augarten Castle. Her goal was to work with well-known artists, architects and designers of the time. The period of the ART DECO thus became a milestone in the history of the Viennese porcelain manufactory and is now again a trend in our company history. The figural works have always been recognized as a special achievement of the Augarten manufactory, which has remained unmatched in comparison to other manufactories to this day. Professor Liebscher designed the fireplace figurine “The Kiss on the Hand” for Augarten Porzellan in 1936 and supervised the production of the first figurines himself. As early as 1935 he created the two figures "Bookends right and left" for the manufactory. Since then, both figures have been an integral part of the production of figures.
