Forget Me Not

The light blue flowers of the forget-me-not can be found as porcelain decoration since 1730 in the lush painting of "European flowers" on early Viennese porcelain. Around 1800, in the age of sensibility, the forget-me-not was the most widely used symbol of floral language. However, representative services were also painted with the modest yet meaningful flowers. As an attitude to life and fashion at the same time, this era appreciated the luxury of the new simplicity. "Schubert" is the first service form of the porcelain manufactory founded in 1923 in Vienna's Augarten. With its classic silhouettes and subtle ornamental details, Form 1 remains a classic of Viennese porcelain to this day.
